Yannis Papaioannou is a greek musician from Tesalonica born in 1979 and now living and working in Barcelona. Plays the oud, saz, ebow fretless guitar. He also colaborates with National Radio of Spain (4). Apart from his personal projects has collaborated with artists such as Omar Faruk Tekbilek, Lucrecia, Miquel Gil, Omar Sosa etc and has shared stage with Rabi Abu Khalil, Kiko Veneno, Macaco, Salif Keita etc. In Barcelona he is collaborating as interpreter and composer in three diferent projects: - 08001 (electronic music) - Orquesta Arabe de Barcelona (arabic music) - AsÃkides (traditional music of the oriental Mediterranean) He participated as a solist of oud in the "11 International Oud Festival of Tetouan" in Morocco
