Pierre Lognay manages his projects in jazz and world music since 1986.  From his journeys in New York in the late ’90s, musicians like Mark Turner, Rudresh Mahanthappa, Seamus Blake, Melvin Butler, Chander Sardjoe, Stéphane Galland, Linley Marthe, Mark Zubek, Philippe Thomas, Bilou Doneux, … have been part of the project « The New International Edition ». With this jazz band, Pierre Lognay had the opportunity to show up on the international stage (New York, Paris, Bruxelles, Luxembourg, Ankara, …).  The cd of  Pierre Lognay, received excellent reviews : Jazz Hot  « A starry disc which could become essential as time goes on » ; Pierre Dulieu A handwritten letter on the cover of the disc presents Pierre Lognay as « … tremendously talented and gifted musician … ».  When you realize that it’s the famous Herbie Hancock himself that has signed this, honestly, what else can you say !   And now, listen to what he’s doing with his guitar in Afro Yambi Jazz!
The band is born from the encounter in 2005 of a jazz musician Pierre Lognay with an african musician, Pedro Mbelani and the desire for Pierre Lognay to bring up to the audience the musical roots and the poly-rythms from Congo revisited through his broad knowledge of music and his incredible job done to appropriate himself the “african way” of playing guitar.  Pierre Lognay wants also to promote musical and cultural exchanges between professional artists.  And by this way Pierre Lognay takes part to the idea developed by the ACP (African Carrabian Pacific countries) concerning the promotion of the culture.

ISTÉPHANE CASALTA...  Former member of A Filetta, Stéphane Casalta, a talented singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, grew up in Balagne (Corsica), in the cradle of the cultural revival (Riacquistu) of the 1970's and 80's. He was 11 years old when he began singing with A Filetta and spent his teenage years under the precious influence of this legendary Corsican band. From village to village, and album to album, the road was long and full of beautiful encounters.
Founder of the band Giramondu in 1993, the act became the reference in Mediterranean music and Casalta revealed his creative potential by writing and composing the titles of the band's first two albums. They enjoyed great success with their second album "Mediterraniu" (1999). A year later, having already built a musical catalogue of an astonishing audacity and personality, looking to explore his affinity for poetry and pursue more inspiring eclectic sounds, Stéphane chose to move on to a solo career.  Stéphane began a new career with "Una Preghera" (A Prayer) (2001): Subtle arrangements mixing traditional instruments (with the help of Jean-Paul Poletti and Patrizia Guataceca from Soledonna ), Mediterranean inspiration and electronic atmospheres . "He sings with his deep voice, poetic lyrics on which he reveals a very personal musical world" said Marco Lamioni, the album producer. "The words and the poetry are the keys of his world, his conscience and his art". Casalta came back with a new release in 2003 named "Sumenta d'Ideale".  In 2006, Stéphane began writing new songs which eventually evolved into " terra è celu ", his forthcoming release. With his very own vision of the music in mind for his new album, he delivers a unique mix of Corsican music with various world music influences. 2008 and 2009 : geminas with the Sardinian singer: Franca Masu and other projets: polyphonic band (terranova) …
